Marie T. Grassi

Marie T. Grassi of Riverhead died Feb. 7 at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport. She was 73.

She was born Aug. 8, 1941, in Brooklyn to Angelina (Denaro) and Giacomo Virgadaula.

Ms. Grassi worked as a clerk for Form Plasitcs in Carle Place. She was a member of the Carle Place American Legion Auxiliary and the Italian-American Club of Peconic.

Ms. Grassi is survived by her husband, Vincent of Riverhead; her children, Vincent, of Elkins Park, Pa., Craig, of Huntington, and Angela, of Colonie, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will be held at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery.
