Former Jamesport resident Lorraine B. Godsey died Feb. 18 at Flagler Beach Hospital in Flagler Beach, Fla. She was 83.
She was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Bangor, Maine, to Alfred and Sarianne Parent.
For many years Lorraine worked as a machine operator for Photocruit in Aquebogue. She loved the beach and enjoyed many activities including playing cards, performing drama skits and making hats for premature babies.
Predeceased by her oldest son, Russell Godsey Jr.; Lorraine is survived by her children, Richard, Carol and Susan Hallock; her grandchildren, Lora Godsey, Sara Rodriguez, Brandon Godsey, Christopher Godsey and Bailey Godsey. She also leaves several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A private viewing was held at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home. A memorial service was held Feb. 21 at Plantation Oaks officiated by Pastor Bill Elias of Community Memorial Church. All services took place in Flagler Beach.
A memorial is planned for family and friends in New York at a date and time to be announced.
