About a month after arresting a man who police said robbed two banks in town, police arrested the man who allegedly gave him the transportation needed to flee the scenes on both occasions.

Evgeniy Pulver of East Moriches was charged with criminal facilitation in the fourth degree on Friday. Police said that after arresting the bank robber, John Gayles, on Feb. 25, a further investigation revealed that Mr. Pulver had provided transportation to Mr. Gayles for the robberies, which occurred on Dec. 16, 2014, and Jan. 6.

Both robberies occurred at Capital One bank branches — last year’s on East Main St., and the January robbery in Jamesport.

Mr. Pulver, 23, was arrested and released on $250 bail. Criminal facilitation in the fourth degree is a misdemeanor.
