Police arrested three people around 1 a.m. on Tuesday after they said they were caught with a variety of stolen goods — from laptops, to surveying equipment, to fishing gear — that were picked up after a rash of break-ins in the Riverhead-Calverton areas.

According to police, 23-year-old Shirley resident Katarina Bennett, 26-year-old Jason Scott of Riverhead, and Marquis Nolan, 24, of Calverton, were pulled over on Ostrander Avenue and upon investigation police, it was determined that the three were in possession of “numerous electronic items that were reported stolen from vehicles.”

Detectives assisted in the investigation, and subsequently arrested Mr. Scott and Mr. Nolan on grand larceny charges, as well as criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny. Ms. Bennett was charted with vehicle and traffic violations as well as criminal possession of stolen property.

The three were remanded to Suffolk County Correctional Facility after they were arraigned in Riverhead Justice Court. Mr. Scott was held on $25,000 bail; Mr. Nolan on $5,000 and Ms. Bennett is free on $500.
