Robert H. Gartelmann
Former Jamesport resident Robert H. Gartelmann of Manorville died April 9 in Florida. He was 92.
He was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Brooklyn to Adelaide and Hermann Gartelmann.
Mr. Gartelmann served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked as a claims manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance.
His wife, Marilyn, said he was “an avid duplicate bridge player and a true Renaissance man.”
In addition to his wife, Mr. Gartelmann is survived by his children, Karen, Paul and Eric; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a time and place to be determined.
