Men’s lacrosse: SWR grad named goalkeeper of the week

Nick Longo of Wading River, a senior at The College of Saint Rose (N.Y.), was named the Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the period ending March 29. Longo posted a 6.23 goals against average and a .755 save percentage throughout the week.

Longo had a career-high 23 saves during a 12-10 setback at Saint Michael’s College (Vt.) and then made 14 saves without surrendering a goal in 55 minutes 36 seconds of action throughout a 10-1 victory versus American International.

Longo is currently second among the NE-10 leaders with a .688 save percentage and stands third behind a 7.35 goals against average.

A Shoreham-Wading River graduate, Longo was a two-time all-county player for the Wildcats.
