Riverhead News: Run to Remember race set for Sunday

PBMC Auxiliary chairwomen Thelma Booker and Lyn Tyler, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 1742, hosted a community fundraiser called “Dress to Impress” April 26 at the lodge. In attendance were Councilwoman Jodi Giglio, Riverhead Free Library director Joy Rankin, PBMC director Jo Fehling and vice president of Human Resources Monica Rauls, former LOOM governor Vincent Passantino, and newly elected LOOM governor Michael Sinning. Without the support of the community this event would not have been successful. Also, many thanks to RFL, Friends of Riverhead Free Library, Riverhead Building Supply, Foxwood Village, Sunken Pond Estates, John Wesley Village, Kiwanis of Greater Riverhead, Order of the Eastern Star No. 62 (Tyre Chapter), Women of the Moose Chapter 1118 and Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, and all the families and friends who were a part of this great event.

The community is invited to a “Jesus Alive” concert Saturday, May 16, at 7 p.m. at Riverhead Methodist Church on East Main Street. This free event will include music by the Glorification Singers and will feature the Jesus Alive dancers. Pastor Enrique Lebron hopes you will join them for an evening of great music and fellowship. There will be a freewill offering. Please bring a non-perishable food item to help feed Long Island’s hungry. For more information, call the church at 727-2327 or visit JesusAliveministries.org. Hope to see you there.
