Update: Driver in critical condition following Route 105 crash

Three people were injured in a two-car collision at the intersection of Route 105 and Main Road Sunday morning, Riverhead Town police said. 

An eastbound Toyota collided with a southbound Honda after the driver of the Toyota ran the red light at the intersection at 7:15 a.m., police said.

The driver of the Hond, Duglas Velasquez-Camey, 21, of Riverhead was transported via Riverhead ambulance to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, police said. He was listed in critical condition but was stable, according to police.

The driver of the Toyota, Thomas Corrao, 58, and his passenger, also named Thomas Corrao, 23, both of Patchogue were treated for minor injuries at Peconic Bay Medical Center and released, police said.

No charges have been filed in the incident.

Route 105 remained closed between Northville Turnpike and Riverside Drive for more than four hours after the crash. The eastbound lanes of Main Road were also closed in the vicinity of Route 105.
