Video, photos: 12th annual Riverhead Idol

Twenty one young performing artists hit the stage on Saturday night to perform in the 12th annual Riverhead Idol at the Senior Center in Aquebogue.

Hosted by the Riverhead Recreation Committee and emceed by Riverhead Town Councilman James Wooten, the theme of this year’s show was “Artists Under 30.”

Ella Baldwin — who was also recently nominated for a Teeny Award for her choreography work in “Footlose” — took home first place in the event for her rendition of “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor.

Luisanna Abreu won second place for “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele, and Lily Kutner took home third place for her version of Katy Perry’s “Roar.”

This year’s judges included Lee Hanwick, Lindsay Reeve, Doris Strange, Carol Sclafani, and Bubbie Brown.
