Update: The PSEG outage map now says power is expected to be restored by 8 p.m.

Original post: About 115 PSEG Long Island customers are without power as of 11:45 a.m. Friday, according to the power authority’s website.

The outage has been reported in the downtown area and power is expected to be restored by 6 p.m., according to PSEG.

A PSEG spokesperson said the outage is related to a transformer failure and a crew is currently at the scene.

As of 5 p.m., Riverhead Town police are directing traffic at the intersection of Main Street and Peconic Avenue because the traffic light there is out.
