Two Calverton men were arrested Saturday after Southampton Town police received a report that a Riverside woman was carjacked, according to a press release.

One of the suspects was caught with a loaded handgun, officials said.

Police began investigating the missing person’s report after the victim texted a friend and said she was being held inside her car against her will, officials said.

Police located the vehicle in Calverton a short time later at around 11:40 p.m. near County Road 94 and the Long Island Expressway, officials said.

The woman was found unharmed and two occupants inside the car were arrested, police said.

Fredrick Pittman, 47, was charged with second-and-third-degree criminal possession of a loaded handgun. Trahmel Thompson, 24, was charged with outstanding bench warrants from First District Court, officials said.

No other details were immediately available.
