Jamesport

The annual fire department parade along Route 25 kicks off on Wednesday, July 8, at 7 p.m. The Jamesport Fire Department’s annual carnival, located near the George Young Community Center on South Jamesport Avenue, runs July 7 through 11, with fireworks at 10 p.m. on the final night. Riverhead

Riverhead BID’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, July 3, on the riverfront with a performance by family music artist Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could, as well as Misspent Youth. Fireworks at 9 p.m. Face painters, balloon artists, stilt walkers and jugglers. For more information, Riverheadbid.com.

There will be pre-firework festivities at the Suffolk Theater from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. with a free performance by “Who Are Those Guys?”.

Riverhead Raceway’s fireworks begin at dusk Saturday, July 4.

Wading River

The Peconic Bay Medical Center Family Fun Festival & Fireworks will be held on Route 25A, across from the King Kullen shopping center in Wading River this weekend. The carnival continues tonight and Friday from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. and Saturday from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. Fireworks will take place Friday, July 3, at 9 p.m.

Orient

The Oysterponds Historical Society will host a Heritage Day parade and celebration from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 5. The parade steps off at noon at the Village Lane Civil War monument. The Declaration of Independence will be read on the steps of the Old Point School House and the celebration will continue at Poquatuck Park.

Shelter Island

Shelter Island Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual fireworks display at Crescent Beach July 11 at dusk.

Southold

Southold Village Merchants’ 18th annual Fourth of July parade marches down Main Road from Boisseau Ave. to the American Legion Hall at noon Saturday.

Greenport

The annual Greenport Fire Department Carnival will continue through Sunday, July 5, starting at 6 p.m. at the Polo Grounds on Moores Lane. Fireworks will start at 10 p.m. July 4 and 5. For more information, GreenportVillage.com.
