The Riverhead Town Board held a public hearing at its meeting Tuesday night to discuss eliminating certain requirements for farm stands.
In addition, the Town Board held a public hearing to discuss creating a farm stand review procedure.
The Town Board was also expected to vote on a proposal to increase the fees for rental dwelling permits. While the Town Board already held a public hearing about the proposal earlier this year, the plan was never adopted.
The proposal aims to eliminate the need for hotels to get rental fees in one section, but then includes the requirement for that fee, and even raises it, in another section.
