Medical marijuana moratorium to be discussed

liveblog

The Riverhead Town Board is expected to discuss a possible moratorium on medical marijuana treatment centers, such as the one proposed in the former Blockbuster Video site on Route 58, at its work session on Thursday morning.

Also on the agenda are discussions about what to do about the dilapidated Court House restaurant building on Griffing Avenue; what to do with the state’s Hallock State Park in Northville, which was preserved as open space but hasn’t had many public uses there, and the results a Peconic Estuary study complied by Glynis Berry of Peconic Green Growth, who is advocating smaller sewer districts in waterfront residential neighborhoods like South Jamesport.

The meeting starts at 10 a.m. and News-Review reporter Tim Gannon will be live blogging. Click below to follow or comment and scroll down for the full agenda.
