Joseph Barbaccia

Joseph Barbaccia, 82, of Riverhead, died Oct. 1 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. 

He was born May 2, 1933, in Manhattan to Alphonse and Jenny Barbaccia.

Mr. Barbaccia worked as a real estate agent with Joseph Gregory Inc. in Manhattan.

Family members said enjoyed reading the Daily News and watching TV.

Mr. Barbaccia is survived by his wife, Carol (née Bounauito); his stepsons, Robert and John Smith; his son, Joseph Barbaccia; his daughter, Annmarie Burns; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many friends.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead, where a funeral service will take place during visiting hours. Cremation will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pegasus House Palliative Care Program at Peconic Bay Medical Center.
