Rose M. Hoeffling

Rose M. Hoeffling of Riverhead died Oct. 6 at Peconic Skilled Nursing Facility in Riverhead. She was 84. 

She was born May 2, 1931, in the Bronx to Agnes (Kelly) and Harold Kennelly.

Ms. Hoeffling worked as a salesperson for Colonial Furniture Store in Riverhead.

Predeceased by her son James and daughters Carol Berry and Roseanne Batiato, Ms. Hoeffling is survived by her son, Gary, of Flanders; her daughters, Jackie McKay of South Carolina and Kathy Avidani of Southold; her brother William Kennelly of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Cremation will be private.
