Homeless man charged with selling drugs in downtown Riverhead
A homeless man was arrested Tuesday and charged with selling drugs in downtown Riverhead, according to a police press release.
Following a narcotics investigation by the East End Drug Task Force and Riverhead Town police investigation, 56-year-old Warren Lamb was found to be in possession of heroin and marijuana, officials said.
He was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Mr. Lamb is being held pending an arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court.
