Longtime Aquebogue resident Richard “Rick” Gold died Oct. 22. He was 48.
Rick was born May 8, 1967, in Queens to Doreen and Kenneth Gold. He attended school in the Riverhead School District.
Family members said Rick loved watching sports and would have loved to watch the 2015 World Series. He also enjoyed music, painting, artwork and writing.
Rick’s message, as shared by his family, was “Having an issue with drugs or alcohol? Please seek help and treasure. Peace Out!”
Predeceased by his brother, Kenneth, Rick is survived by his parents.
Burial took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram.
In lieu of flowers or donations, his family suggests that an act of kindness be performed for someone in need.
