From lacrosse to swimming, 11 SWR students sign with colleges

Eleven Shoreham-Wading River High School students will pursue college athletics next year. The students, who range from playing lacrosse to field hockey to volleyball, were honored at a signing ceremony Monday night in the high school library.

The students were:

  • Emily Anderson, swimming: UMass
  • Jon Constant, lacrosse: Marist
  • Isabella Cortes, lacrosse: West Point
  • Jason Curran, lacrosse: Brown
  • Brianna Fischetti, field hockey: SUNY Cortland
  • Rebecca Nolan, lacrosse: Tiffin
  • Kaitlyn Ohrtman, cross country/track: Iona
  • Emma Thomas, field hockey: Drew
  • Haley Wehr, volleyball: Malloy
  • Chelsea Werner, acrobatic/tumbling: Quinnipiac
  • Zach White, baseball: New York Institute of Technology
