Riverhead Town police are on the hunt for a 33-year-old woman who stunned a Target employee with a taser on Christmas Eve, according to a press release.

Police identified the suspect as Victoria Deon, whose address is unavailable, and she remains at large, police said.

Ms. Deon allegedly removed assorted merchandise from the Riverhead Target at about 4 p.m. and an employee attempted to detain her, police said. She then used a taser on the employee to break free and flee on foot toward Route 58, police said.

Several patrol units responded but were unable to locate her, police said. The employee was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Ambulance volunteers.

Police are asking for anyone with information on Ms. Deon’s whereabouts to call police at 631-727-4500.

Ms. Deon was arrested in September for aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and failed to appear in court on a Dec. 1 date, according to online court records. She also pled guilty in August to an aggravated unlicensed operation charge and was fined $500 and sentenced to three years probation, court records show.
