Riverhead police seek information about damaged bus shelter

Police are seeking the public’s help to find out who vandalized a bus shelter on Route 58 Tuesday night.

Sometime before 7:50 p.m., someone used landscaping bricks to smash all of the glass panels at the bus shelter, which is located on the northern side of Route 58 near Walmart and across from Tanger Outlets.

Police have asked anyone with information about the vandalism to call Riverhead police at 631-727-4500 ext. 332, or write to Riverhead Police Department, 210 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, New York, 11901, Attention: Detective Division.

Police said all tips will remain anonymous.
