An armed robbery at a gas station in Riverhead Town was reported for the second time in three days.

The Bolla Market and Mobil gas station on Route 25 in Calverton was robbed Monday night, Riverhead Town police said. The convenience store clerk said a man wearing dark clothing and holding a black handgun demanded cash from the registers and received an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the store on foot, police said.

Police received a 911 call at 10:08 p.m. and responded to the scene with a K-9 unit to search for the suspect, who still remains at large. New York State Police also assisted at the scene.

Riverhead detectives are investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential.

On Saturday, an alleged armed robbery occurred at the Valero gas station in Wading River.
