State police blotter: Teen arrested for driving drunk in Riverhead

A 17-year-old Riverhead girl was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Monday, according to a state police press release.

Nicole Clifford was pulled over for speeding and failing to dim her headlights, state troopers said. She was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, according to the press release.

Ms. Clifford was issued traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Riverhead Town court next month to answer to the charges, police said..

• Craig Stewart, 53, of Riverhead was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over for driving outside his lane Friday, state police said.

Mr. Stewart was pulled over for “moving from [his] lane unsafely and failing to maintain [his] designated lane,” according to a state police press release. He was arrested and released after being arraigned in Riverhead Town court.
