Cops: Riverhead man charged for home burglary

An investigation into a Wading River home burglary led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Riverhead man, Riverhead Town police said. 

Christopher Lull was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, for allegedly breaking into a Deer Run home the week of Feb. 14, police said. The suspect entered through a basement window and stole a safe, jewelry and electronics, police said.

Mr. Lull was arrested Sunday and held for arraignment. Police executed a search warrant at 1570 Wading River Manor Road, Lot #4 in Wading River on Monday and recovered some of the stolen property, police said. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Correction: The alleged burglary occurred the week of Feb. 14, not Dec. 14. A police report initially listed the wrong date.
