Police raid Flanders home, charge woman with three drug felonies

A Flanders woman was arrested on drug charges after Southampton Town Police and the East End Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at her home Tuesday. 

Tyra E. Crump, 46, who lives on Priscilla Avenue in Flanders, was reportedly found to have quantities of crack cocaine, cocaine, cash and a scale in her home, which were seized by police.

She was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Additionally, 46-year-old a man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, during the search and he was released on an appearance ticket, officials said.

The search warrant was in response to community complaints and the result of ongoing investigations in drug activity in the area, police said. The Southampton Town Police Emergency Services Unit, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office K-9 units assisted in serving the warrant.
