Jacinto Santiago

Jacinto Santiago of Riverhead died March 12 at his home. He was 86. 

He was born Feb. 17, 1930, in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico.

From 1950 to 1952 he served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters. Family members said he was a “great dad.”

Predeceased by his wife, Aida, Dec. 19, 2013, Mr. Santiago is survived by his grandson, Joel Tucker (Sona Shah); stepsons Angel Colon and Dimas Rodriguez; stepdaughter Lynda Tucker; and eight additional grandchildren.

The family received visitors March 14 at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead.
