Jeff Parrish

Jeff Parrish of Riverhead died March 20 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 88. 

The son of Jefferson and Julia Parrish, he was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Riverhead.

Mr. Parrish was a construction worker. Family members said he enjoyed fishing and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes (née White) of Riverhead; four daughters, Virginia Peele of North Carolina, Ruthann, of Bellport, Irene Barkley, also of Bellport and Marcella Monroe of Mastic; two sons, Jeff Jr. of Riverhead and Rodney of North Carolina; two sisters, Ruth Woodson of New Jersey and Mary Delgado of Connecticut; a brother, Luther, of Connecticut. and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Friday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to noon at Galilee Church of God in Christ in Riverhead. A funeral service will follow at the church at noon. Interment will take place at Riverhead Cemetery.
