Calverton News: Kent Animal Shelter’s ‘Evening of Comedy’

OK, I gotta tell you, this snow was not my fault. I’ve taken down all my snow items and I’m completely ready for spring, so you gotta blame it on somebody else. P.S.: Happy spring!

The Riverhead Rotary Club will hold its annual spaghetti lunch and dinner on Wednesday, April 6, at Polish Hall in Riverhead. It’s always delicious and lots of fun. Tickets for lunch — served from noon to 2 p.m. — are $13 for adults; $10 for seniors; and $8 for children under 12. Dinner — from 4 to 8 p.m. — is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors; and $10 for children under 12. Go, have a great time with your friends and neighbors and enjoy some awesome food.

Don’t forget! Kent Animal Shelter’s “Evening of Comedy” fundraiser will be held Friday, April 8, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Hotel Indigo in Riverhead. Tickets are $30 each and include hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, chinese auction, scavenger hunt, 50/50 raffle and much more. You’ll enjoy yourself while helping animals at the same time.

Happy birthday to Bertha Taylor, who celebrates Friday, March 25, with tons of hugs and kisses from your little girl, Brooklyn; Larry, all your family and friends and yours truly. We love you and hope you have a simply perfect day. Birthday wishes also go out to Gloria Cadolino, who will turn 89 on Easter Sunday. I immediately fell in love with this wonderful lady when I spoke with her as she’s spunky and full of life. Your family, friends and I hope you have a perfect day, honey.

That’s all for this week. I hope you have a wonderful and happy Easter. And remember, I’m on your side — I want the warm weather too.

Take care, be safe and I’ll talk to you soon. Bye.
