A Flanders teen has been arrested on three felony weapons charges and another three misdemeanors after cops caught him with a loaded handgun while arresting him on a Suffolk County warrant, according to a Southampton Town police press release.

Terrance Latimore, 19, was stopped in Riverside by a town police Community Response Unit that was patrolling the area Monday, according to the report. The officer on patrol had spotted Mr. Latimore in a vehicle driving by and remembered that Suffolk County police had issued a warrant for his arrest.

Mr. Latimore was arrested for the warrant and was found to be in possession of a “loaded .32 caliber handgun,” according to police.

He was charged with three counts of felony criminal possession of a weapon, as well as a misdemeanor charge for endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of misdemeanor criminal contempt. Police did not disclose why Mr. Latimore was charged with endangering the welfare of a child in the release, and police officials couldn’t be immediately reached for comment.

Mr. Latimore was arraigned and held in Suffolk County jail on $50,000 bail.
