Thaddeus T. Brandt III

Thaddeus T. “Ted” Brandt III passed away May 7, 2016, surrounded by his family.

Born May 17, 1958, to Ted and Betty Brandt, he graduated from Riverhead High School in 1976 and loyally served in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1981 on the USS America. He married Jill Wilczewski in 1981 and together they had two children.

Ted managed West Cove Farms, the Kanas family estate, from 1999 until the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife; his son, Thaddeus Thomas IV and his wife, Cherie; his granddaughters, Aubrey, Emmee and Ellee; and by his daughter and best friend, Kristin. He is also survived by his mother; his sister, Linda Galka and her husband, Richie; his brothers, Michael and Jim and his wife, Tracy; his sister, Patti; as well as many more family members and too many friends to list.

Services will be held Friday, May 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Sinnicksons Moriches Funeral Home in Center Moriches. A sailor’s burial at sea will take place at a later date.

The family asks that donations be made in Ted’s name to The Lustgarten Foundation or Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park, P.O. Box 57, East Moriches, NY 11940.
