Motrocycle crash Manorville

One person was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries and another person was hurt in a motorcycle crash on Mill Road in Manorville Saturday, Suffolk County police said.

According to a police statement, a woman was driving a 2002 Toyota westbound on Old Saw Mill Road when her vehicle collided with a motorcycle headed east.

The crash occurred about 12:05 p.m., police said. The winding stretch of road is located 1 1/2 miles west of Edwards Avenue.

Officer Brian Koch from the county police’s Medical Crisis Action Team arrived on scene and applied a tourniquet to stop the motorcyclist from bleeding, according to the statement. The motorcyclist was airlifted to receive further treatment.

Riverhead Ambulance assisted in the rescue.

Both the driver and motorcyclist were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. Police said the investigation is continuing and there were no arrests.
