Geraldine L. Doroski
Geraldine L. Doroski of Southold died Aug. 1, 2016, at Peconic Bay Medical Center after an eight month battle with leukemia. She was 81.
She was born in Ohio on Nov. 27, 1934, to Leroy and Esther Butler and lived her entire adult life on the North Fork.
On June 7, 1953, she married Adam “Zak” Doroski at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport.
For nearly 60 years, she was a waitress at many area restaurants.
She is survived by her husband “Zak” Doroski; two children, June Kutur of Turkey and David Doroski of Southold; two siblings, James Butler of Southold and Mary Jane of West Virginia; four grandchildren Allison Latham of Southold, Donald Sayre, Jr. of Greenport and Jeremy and Jason Doroski both of Astoria, Queens and great-grandchildren Kenneth Latham, Jessica Latham, Kendall Sayre and Harper Sayre. She was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Reed.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 6 at St. Agnes R.C. Church. The Rev. Richard P. Hoerning officiated.
Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
