Anthony I. Ruskowski Jr.

Anthony I Ruskowski Jr. of Calverton died Aug. 24 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 57. 

The son of Anthony Ruskowski and Patricia Schuyler he was born Oct. 15, 1958, in Riverhead. He graduated from Riverhead High School in 1977.

Anthony served in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1977 to 1981. He was a partner and financial manager at R & R Farms of Suffolk.

Anthony enjoyed gardening, investing, building, traveling and reading.

A loving son and brother, Anthony was an inspiration to family members. He had a big heart and was always wanting to help others without wanting recognition. He will be missed.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Patricia Schuyler of Virginia; his father, Anthony Ruskowski Sr. of Riverhead; his stepfather, George Schuyler of Virginia and his sisters Lisa Ruskowski of Virginia and Sharon Freeman of Florida.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, Sept. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
