Blanche Skrzypak

Former Jamesport resident Blanche Skrzypak, age 88 of Jonesville, N.C., passed away Dec. 1, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Skrzypak was born in New York April 24, 1928, to Wladyslaw Hilenski and Anna Krochmalna Hilenski.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Skrzypak and a sister, Mary Staniszewski. She is survived by two brothers, Paul Hilenski of Maine and Stanley Hilenski of Jonesville; nieces, Paula Ripple of Winters Springs , Fla., Jennifer Hilenski of Charlotte N.C., Anna Calmet of Leesburg, Va. and Mary Hilenski and nephews, Richard Staniszewski, Walter Hilenski and P.T. Hilenski.

A Celebration of Life was held Dec. 5 at Johnson Funeral Home in Elkin, N.C.
