Photos: Polar Plunge for Special Olympics at Splish Splash

Splish Splash Water Park in Calverton hosted its first-ever Polar Plunge on Saturday to benefit the Special Olympics. Rather than sprint into an icy ocean, however, participants took a dip in the water park’s Kahuna Bay Wave Pool.

The event was also sponsored by the Riverhead and Southampton Town police benevolent associations.
