Adam Gatz

Adam Gatz, 92, of Riverhead died April 26 at the Kanas Center for Hospice in Quiogue. 

The son of Joseph Gatz and Lenora (Wisniewski), he was born June 24, 1924, in Riverhead.

Mr. Gatz worked as a potato farmer for Turnpike Acres in Riverhead.

Predeceased by his wife, Cornelia Gatz in 2007, Mr. Gatz is survived by his daughters, Susan Kowalski, Pamela Gatz and Patricia Kasold; son, William; brothers, Walter and George; sister, Eleanor; grandchildren, Adam Kasold, Amanda Gatz, Emily Gatz and Claire Gatz and great-grandchild Aubrey Kasold.

The family will receive visitors Friday, April 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Saint John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, officiated by the Rev. Lawrence Duncklee. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
