Mary H. Ferris

Former Calverton resident Mary H. Ferris of Oriental, N.C., passed away April 23, 2017, at her home. She was 83.

Mary was born Aug. 18, 1933, in Oyster Bay and taught in the Riverhead School District.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ned; daughter, Stacey E. Ferris of Bolivia, N.C.; son, Edwin W. Ferris III of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandson, Edwin W. Ferris IV of North East, Md.; and granddaughter, Holly Ferris of Frederick, Md.

A memorial service was held May 2 at Pamlico United Methodist Church in Oriental, officiated by the Rev. Mike Roach.
