Cops: Police investigating attempted burglary at Honda of Riverhead

Officers responded to Honda of Riverhead shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday in response to an attempted burglary that reportedly took place overnight, according to a police press release.

A lock was broken off a storage container in the parking lot at the dealership located at 1407 Pulaski Street in Riverhead and the burglar damaged the front door after attempting to enter the building, police said.

“It does not appear that entry was made to the primary building and nothing appeared to be missing from the premise at this time,” the release states.

No other details about the investigation were available.
