Ruth E. Baumgardt

Ruth E. (Raynor) Baumgardt passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2017. She lived to be 54 years old.

Ruth worked for the State of New Jersey as a cottage training supervisor at the Hunterdon Developmental Center.

She volunteered for the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America and the Young Men’s Italian Association.

A fierce and loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees, Ruth enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

In addition to her husband, Eric Baumgardt, Ruth is also survived by her three children, Kyle, Kelsey and Katie, as well as her mother, Sharon Raynor; her sister Barbara Good and her husband, Scott; her sister Laurie Gilroy and her husband, Joseph; and her sister Tara Raynor-Perez and her husband, Byron Perez. Her nieces and nephews include Neill, Christopher, Kiaya, Shelby, Bryan, Brionna, Anna, Tim, Alex and Jaydy.
She was predeceased by her father, George Harvey Raynor Sr. and her brother, George Harvey Raynor Jr.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, Sept. 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place at noon Friday, Sept. 15, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Riverhead Cemetery.
