Robert Stolz

Robert Stolz of Florida, formerly of Calverton and Deer Park, died Feb. 18 in Florida. He was 79. 

The son of Edward and Louise Stolz, he was born Dec. 4, 1938, in Queens.

Mr. Stolz served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a truck driver. He was a former resident of Foxwood Village and a communicant of St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead.

Family members said he enjoyed fishing, golfing and boating.

Predeceased by his wife, Irene, in 1998, Mr. Stolz is survived by his children, Donna, of Washington, Linda, of Smithtown, and Kenneth, of Nesconset; his sister, Mary Lou York of Florida; his brother Edward, also of Florida; and six grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his brothers George and John.

Memorial visiting hours will take place Saturday, March 3, from noon to 2 and 6 to 8 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
