Deborah Anne Wisowaty

Deborah Anne Wisowaty of Cutchogue passed away Feb. 28 at the age of 57. She succumbed to pancreatic cancer at her sister’s and brother-in-law’s home, surrounded by loving family.

Deborah was born Dec. 22, 1960, along with her twin brother, Donald Wilcenski (Lauren) of Southold. She is also survived by her heartbroken parents, John and Jeannette Wilcenski of Mattituck; her brother John Wilcenski Jr. (Susan) of Westhampton and his twin sister, Patricia Granneman (Bill) of Califon, N.J., and Cutchogue; as well as four nieces, three nephews, and many rescued pets. Deb was predeceased by her former husband, Edward Wisowaty.

Deborah was employed at Stidd Systems in Greenport for the past 22 years. She was both hardworking and compassionately selfless. In her spare time, Deborah cared for those in need. Her love of animals was her life’s work as she tended to a variety of rescues both at home and locally.

Deborah is loved and cherished by her family, friends and community. She touched the lives of many and made a positive, resounding impact on this earth.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 8, from 3 to 8 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue.

Memorial donations can be made in Deborah’s name to East End Hospice, SAVES, Inc. or North Fork Animal Welfare League.
