Jeannette Levasseur

Longtime Riverhead resident Jeannette Levasseur died March 9 in Riverhead. 

The daughter of Alma (Lang) and Romeo Boucher, she was born Nov. 25, 1936, in Canada.

Ms. Levasseur was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards, going to the library, traveling and spending time with family.

Predeceased by her husband, Albert and son Robert; Ms. Levasseur is survived by her sons Richard, Patrick and Peter; her daughter, Lisa Schlect; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Sunday, March 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Cremation will be private.
