LIE reopened in both directions at exit 68
All lanes of the Long Island Expressway at exit 68 have been reopened following a deadly accident at about 4 p.m., according to multiple reports.
Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash and multiple medevacs were requested, according to the reports. Newsday reported Saturday evening that there was one fatality and multiple injuries.
Newsday reported the crash involved a pickup truck, a minivan and a motorcycle. Two people were airlifted to Stony Brook University hospital.
