Riverhead Police Blotter: Man arrested for pulling a gun on Reeves Ave

Riverhead Town police arrested a 52-year-old man for pulling a gun in Riverhead Sunday.

Joseph Densieski, 52, was involved in an argument around 10 p.m. on Reeves Avenue, during which he displayed a shotgun, officials said. 

He was charged with misdemeanor second-degree menacing, taken to headquarters and held for morning arraignment.

• A Mastic man was arrested for stealing from KMart on Route 58 in Riverhead last Tuesday.

Derrick Graham, 21, reportedly removed a red Kenmore four-burner grill, valued at $279.99, from the store without paying for it around 6:25 p.m., officials said.

He was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny.

• Michael Spring, 55, was charged with Friday three counts of misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and multiple traffic violations around 9:05 a.m. at Speedway gas station on Route 58 in Riverhead Friday, officials said.

• Troyshawn Burgess, 17 of Riverhead was charged at headquarters with attempted robbery around 10:20 a.m. Friday, officials said.

• Vincent O’Dowd, 41, was found dead last Tuesday night on the Long Island Rail Road train platform in Riverhead, a LIRR spokesperson said. He was undomiciled. The cause of his death was not due to a train strike, officials said. 

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
