Irene G. Robinson
Irene G. Robinson of Riverhead died May 20 at the Kanas Center for Hospice in Quiogue. She was 89.
The daughter of Adam and Stephanie (Halecki) Celic, she was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Riverhead.
Family members said Ms. Robinson was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Predeceased by her husband, Eugene, in 1992, Ms. Robinson is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Farrish of Riverhead and Patricia Chmielewski of Aquebogue; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, May 23, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at St Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
