Garry Brunskill

Garry Brunskill of Riverhead died June 23. He was 59.

The son of Franklyn “Benny” and Sadie Brunskill, he was born Dec. 7, 1958, in Riverhead.

Mr. Brunskill worked as a heavy equipment operator. Family members said he enjoyed race cars, hot rods, music and fashion.

Predeceased by his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lossie (née Daniels) of Riverhead; his 10 children: Tyrone, Tynisha, Lakeisha, Tarsha and Tyrell Brunskill, Shakeitha  Thomas, Timothy Wooten,  Wally Coach and Natasha Coach, all of Riverhead, and Tiffany Wooten of North Carolina; his father,  of North Carolina; his sister, Shirl, of Ali, N.C.; his brothers, Gregory, of Ronkonkoma, and Glenn, of Riverhead; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 27, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday, June 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Galilee Church of God in Christ in Riverhead, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Riverhead Cemetery.

Arrangements were in the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
