Henry W. Danowski

Henry W. Danowski of Riverhead died Sept. 28 at the age of 89.

The son of Stasia (Stepnoski) and Joseph Danowski, he was born April 6, 1929, in Riverhead.

He graduated from Riverhead High School in 1947 and worked as a supply clerk at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Mr. Danowski was a member and past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose in Riverhead. Family members said he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Predeceased by his wife, Helene, he is survived by his children, Sharon Jones, Ronald, Steve and Robert; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family received visitors Sept. 30. Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment took place at St. John’s Cemetery.

Arrangements were in the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
