BettyAnn Waliszewski

BettyAnn Waliszewski of Calverton died March 5 at Stony Brook University Medical Center. She was 81.

Born March 6, 1930, to Charles and Wielhmina Bunting, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Central Suffolk Hospital in Riverhead (now Peconic Bay Medical Center).

She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Family members said she adored her poodle, Cricket.

Predeceased by her husband, Zigmund, in 1973 and her son, Richard, in 1968, Ms. Waliszewski is survived by her daughter, Robin Huzsek of Greenport, and her sister, Bonnie Kalinowski of Texas.

Visiting hours will take place Saturday, March 10, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
