Pawel Andrychowski

Pawel Andrychowski of Riverhead died April 9 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 84.

He was born in Poland Jan. 13, 1928, to Franciszek and Marianna Andrychowski. He married Emilia Gajowska in 1971 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead.

Mr. Andrychowski was a tailor at Edward Archer Inc. in Riverhead. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, according to family members.

He is survived by his wife, of Riverhead; his son, Thomas (Caroline), of South Carolina; his sisters, Leokadia Chojnowski of Riverhead and Zofia Rachubka of North Carolina; and his granddaughter, Hannah.

Visiting hours will take place Wednesday, April 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will be held Thursday, April 12, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church, Father Marian Bicz officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
