Candido L. Vazquez

Candido L. Vazquez of Riverhead died June 13 at Riverhead Care Center. He was 81.

He was born in Yonkers Dec. 28, 1938, to Candido G. and Mary (Maron) Vazquez.

He served as a private first class in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and owned a barbershop in Riverhead.

Mr. Vazquez is survived by his wife, Mona (née Lundquist), and his daughter, Ingrid, both of Riverhead, and his sister, Helena, of Northport.

A funeral service and interment took place June 19 at Calverton National Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead.
